Hanging in Croatia

From Peacocks to Palaces, Croatia had it all.

The view of Split from a distance. Also, why has this not been picked up as a postcard by now?

Some lovely boats.

Ahhh serenity…

Roaming the streets of Split (really just lost).

The Venice of Croatia.

The first glimpses of the old city of Dubrovnik.

The main harbor home to all sorts of fun activities: fishing, traveling, the possibilities are endless!

If you ever need a hostel in Dubrovnik, pick this one. It is the absolute best place to stay hands down.

An artsy pic of shoes for your enjoyment.

Tourists perusing the streets at night in Dubrovnik.

Rooftops in Dubrovnik. It was tempting to break into a musical number and tap dance across all of them to some snappy tune.

“The hills are alive with the sound of music…”

The Croatian flag. It’ll come in handy for the Olympics someday I bet.

A birds eye view of the city center.

Look at those crystal clear waters!

Thank you nice Croatian family for allowing me to photograph your laundry.

A nearby beach that turned out to be crowded with tweenage punks.

Lochram Island, one of the shooting locations for Game of Thrones.

Fun Fact: Lochram is supposedly haunted as it used to be occupied by monks and there was some sort of Great Fire, or somebody got kicked off and put a curse on it. The details got a little mixed up…

Well hello there sir.

The entryway to one of the Game of Thrones sets.

Welcome to Qarth. If you don’t know what that means, I highly recommend subscribing to HBO, it’s a truly life changing experience.

The other side of the Island. Lots of rocks and such.

  1. The photo of the faded houses set against the leafy cliffs is my favourite. And yes, I think “Hotel Fresh* Sheets” is probably a good place to stay. Why does the “fresh” have an asterix beside it, though? As always, your commentary made me laugh. Another great post!

    • Yeah I really like that one as well. And for the asterix…uhhh…that does look a little sketchy now that you mention it. Rest assured though that despite the odd choice of symbol, I promise the sheets were very fresh indeed!

What'd you think? We'd love to hear from you!
