An Apple a Day…

Fruit can be expensive, but autumn is the time to get fresh, inexpensive apples! Start your morning off right with these two apple-inspired breakfast recipes.

PB & Apple English Muffin

Sure it’s simple. It’s also delicious.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 granny smith apple
  • 1 whole wheat english muffin
  • 2 tbps. organic peanut butter
  • honey

How To Do It:

  1. Thinly slice the apple into chip-like shapes. If you prefer apples without skin, peel apples prior to cutting.
  2. Toast english muffin until golden drown.
  3. Add 1 tbsp. of peanut butter to each side.
  4. Place sliced apples on top and drizzle with your desired amount of honey.
  5. Enjoy your fiber-rich, protein-packed breakfast!

Zazzy Fruit Salad

Zazzy is not an actual word. It was simply the only adjective that came to mind when trying to describe the personal-sized fruit salad recipe. The fruits here can be substituted based on grocery store sales and personal preference. It will still be jazzy nonetheless.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 gala apple
  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana
  • handful of grapes (approximately 10)
  • 1 small pear

How To Do It:

  1. Skin and core all fruits, with the exception of the grapes.
  2. Cut grapes lengthwise, bananas into thin slices and the apples and pears into cubes.
  3. Juice 1 orange and pour over cut fruit.
  4. Mix together to prevent browning and enjoy!

Pictures to come!
