Another October celebration to enjoy! Here are three delicious waffle recipes that will be sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

All of these waffle recipes start with 2 cups of prepared waffle mix. The flavor nuances are found in the details.

Berry Waffles

What You Need:

  • 2 cups prepared waffle batter
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen or fresh fruit (raspberries, blueberries and blackberries used here)
  • vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (optional)

How To Do It:

  1. In a skillet on high heat, add water and sugar. Stir continuously until a thick syrup forms.
  2. Add fruit. Bring water to a boil and continue stirring to evaporate remaining water.
  3. After approx. 10-15 minutes, reduce heat to low. You should end with a thick fruit syrup to use as a topping.

  1. Add ice cream or whipped cream according to your preference and finish off with warm fruit topping. Enjoy!

Nutter Butter Waffles

What You Need:

  • 2 cups prepared waffle batter
  • 2 tbsp. organic peanut butter
  • handful of mini-chocolate chips (plus additional for garnish)
  • chocolate syrup
  • powdered sugar

How To Do It:

  1. Add peanut butter and chocolate chips to batter.
  2. Cook waffles according to instructions on the box.
  3. Add a thin layer of peanut butter on top, powdered sugar and chocolate syrup as a garnish. Enjoy!
