Anytime of day, popcorn is the perfect snack. Try these different variations to suit your sweet and salty cravings.

Perfect Popcorn

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or enough to coat the bottom of a small pan)
  • 1 cup popcorn
  • salt
  • butter

How To Do It:

1. Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat.

2. Place one popcorn kernel inside and wait until it pops, indicating that the pan is hot enough to add the remaining kernels.

3. Cover pan with a lid and wait until the remaining kernels begin to pop.

4. Once the popping slows and more than 5 seconds pass in between pops, remove the pan from the stove top.

5. Transfer popcorn to a serving bowl. Add melted butter and salt according to taste.

6. Serve and enjoy! This popcorn can be stored in a ziplock bag for up to three days afterwards if you are looking to snack later in the week.

Kettle Corn

What You’ll Need:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or enough to coat the bottom of a small pan)
  • 1 cup popcorn
  • salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

How To Do It:

1. Follow the above instructions for cooking the popcorn.

2. In a separate saucepan, while the popcorn is popping, place 1 cup of water and 2 cups of sugar. Stir these ingredients over low heat until sugar is fully dissolved and liquid forms into a simple syrup.

3. Pour this mixture over top of popped popcorn. Add salt to taste.

4. Serve and enjoy.
