After traveling around Utah and Arizona in an RV for two weeks, I have fallen in love with the West. Bruce Springsteen’s song “Outlaw Pete” and the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid both have new meaning after seeing the sights for myself. Vast expanses of land, multicolored canyon layers and killer sunsets never lose their novelty- the sights out there just never get old. Take a look for yourself.
A view of Bryce Canyon just before sunset.
The tree roots searching for a source of water in the hot, arid climate.
Another spectacular sunset in Bryce Canyon.
The various colors in the rock layers were caused by water and wind erosion over time.
We were followed by a little friend.
The contrast of the orange rock against the deep blue sky made for some great photographs.
My shoes changed color each time we changed location.
The rock formations in Arches National Park were fun to name. Far left- Alien Baby.

The Cliff dwellings in Mesa Verde.
We had some visitors for breakfast in the RV Park.
